Sažetak
Moisturizers combine occlusives and humectants to enhance the water-holding capacity of the skin. Further diversity in moisturizer formulation is created through the addition of specialty ingredients, designed to enhance the functioning of the skin. These agents mimic natural ingredients and include vitamins, hydroxy acids, urea, sodium PCA. Moisturizers can serve as important adjunctive therapeutic modalities for patients with various dermatologic disorders.
