Sažetak
Numerical calculation of no-load and full load characteristics of low-speed ship’ s generator that is inserted in the shafting (between the main propulsion engine and propeller) is presented in this paper. It is necessary to analyse the electromagnetic state in such a generator numerically due to its specific design. All of the relevant characteristics of the generator are then determined on the basis of the numerical analysis. We used the programming package MagNet 6.16 that is based upon the finite element method.
