Sažetak
As a recently created and still developing country, Croatia is in a relatively early stage if its waste management infrastructure development. Main source, categories and quantities of industrial hazardous waste as well as the practices and capacities of existing waste managemant facilities will be reviwed. Information on the regulatory framework and the enforcement mechanisms of the country to achieve compilance will also be provided, together with particular obstacles steeming from the local circumstances which are sometimes markedly different to those in most developed countries.
