Article analyse differences between American and European theatre criticism though several aspects: definition of position, education, and target audience of theatre critic, function of theatre critic and his goal, ways how is he achieving that and attitude toward the theory. The approaches are different (opposite) because of different theatre and theory system and every has its good and bad sides.
