Sažetak
The tridentate organophosphorus compounds: bis[(diphenylphosphinyl)methyl]phenylphosphine oxide (RPPh), bis[(diphenylphosphinyl)methyl]phosphinic acid (RPOH) and bis[(diphenylphosphinyl)methyl]ethyl phosphinate (RPOEt) have been used for studies of zirconium and hafnium extraction from chloride, perchlorate and sulphate solutions. The formation of M(ClO_4)_4.2RPPh, M(ClO_4)_4.2RPOEt, M(ClO_4)_4.2RPOH, MCl_4.2RPPh, MCl_4.2RPOH, MCl_4.RPOEt, M(SO_4)(RPOH)_2 and M(SO_4)(RPOH)_2.RPOH complexes in the organic phase (M = Zr or Hf) is proposed. The extraction mechanism is discussed. The complexes Zr(OH)_2Cl_2.L.8H_2O, Hf(OH)_2Cl_2.L.8H_2O, ZrCl_4.L and [Zr(OH)_2(L)](ClO_4)_2.8H_2O (L = RPPh, RPOEt or RPOH) were isolated and characterized. The characteristic frequencies of the P=O, P-O-(M) and ClO_4^- vibrations have been assigned.
