Sažetak
TOFD is to be applied for flaw sizing and characterization whenever it is possible, having essential advantage over conventional UT methods and accuracy much higher than the other UT methods. The primary application starting point is to demonstrate the capability of chosen UT system to be adjusted for TOFD in reproducible way. In this vork the TOFD state of art of referent blocks standardization principles and results are given upon materijal, geometry and referent flaws investigation and the recommended methods for setting up the UT sensitivity as well. This work is part of project 120024: Underwater Welding and Quality Control, carried out at the Faculty of Mechanical Eng. and Naval architecture, Universitu of Zagreb, supported by the Croatian Ministry of Science and Technology.
