Sažetak
To evaluate the applicability of PCS optical fiber as radiation level sensor, steady state irradiation in the 0.4 to 1.6um wavelength is performed and radiation induced loss measured. It is found that in the visible range the response of the PCS fiber is strongly linear with dose up to 10+3 Gy and stable in time, with sensitivity 1.47x10-1 dB/kmGy.
