Sažetak
The development of some sciences and branches of industry has led to the increase in complexity of equipment, being manifested in application of the following components: - elements of measuring and control technique, and especially intelligent control systems supported by sensor technique, - autornatic diagnosis founded on on-line work processes, . - autornatization and robotization of processes and parts of processes, - use of new materials, - application of the new design solution for the single components. This complexity, together with the increased requirem ents for safety, reliability and avalibility have strongly influenced the existing and the appearance of the new methods and strategies of maintenance. In cooperation with production companies and maintenance specialists, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Slavonski Brod in Croatia has defined several types of the inforrnation rnaintenance management systems for the various branches of industry: - complex plants (nuclear power plants, thermal electric plants, hydroelectric plants, heating plants, oil refineries, sugar refineries, chemical plants, breweries etc.), - equipment for the manufacturing and food processing industry (mills, bakeries, animal production and meat processing industry, grain silos, stone carving, grain processing, anirnal feed production), - mobile objects with field rnaintenance needs (ships, tanks, airplanes etc.), - agricultural, constructional, forestry and transportation machinery, - production facilities in the metal-working, electrical manufacturing, textile and wood industry job-lot and srnall-scale production, - production facilities in the metal-working, electrical manufacturing, wood and textile industry hatch production.
