Sažetak
The paper presents experiences in the design of Maintanance Information Systems (MIS) and their introduction into production companies. The companies being divided into groups characterized by their common requirements as to the Information System. In co-operation with production companies and maintenance specialists, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Slavonski Brod has defined several types of the information management systems for the various branches of industry: - complex plants (nuclear power plants, thermal electric plants, hydroelectric plants, heating plants, oil refineries, sugar refineries, chemical plants, breweries etc.), - equipment for the manufacturing and food processing industry (mills, bakeries, animal production and meat processing industry, grain silos, stone carving, grain processing, animal feed production), - mobile objects with field maintenance needs (ships, tanks, airplanes etc.), - agricultural, constructional, forestry and transportation machinery, - production facilities in the metal-working, electric al manufacturing, textile and wood industry job- lat and small-scale production, - production facilities in the metal-working, electric al manufacturing, wood and textile industry batch production. In the period between 1985 and 1995 the Information systems were developed for the first group of enterprises (Automated management system for maintenance and overhaul - ASUR and Automated information system for the maintenance of the town heating plants - AISOT) and for the fifth group of enterprises (Automated information system for the maintenance of production capacities - AISOK), applied to our own enterprises and to the Balakovskaja nuclear plant in Russia. Research has shown that it is possible to develop sub systems and modules which can be created as common to all groups of companies. The paper provides an explanation of the planning and scheduling module which satisfies a broad range of requirements of this function in various compames.
