Sažetak
Proportional hydraulic technology can be a suitable solution for some operations usually handled by servo valves, however, at much lower costs. This paper deals with the mathematical modeling and position control of a hydraulic drive using a proportional valve. A nonlinear dynamic model of the hydraulic cylindrical actuator with a proportional valve, used in the computer simulation analysis, has been developed. For the purpose of the classical feedback control a linearized, control-oriented mathematical model of the system has been derived. The control algorithms based on the PD controller implementation have been verified on an experimental setup of an electro-hydraulic servo system. The effectiveness of the proposed control algorithms is demonstrated for both moving directions as well as for both unloaded and loaded system. The results of the experimental testing have shown that high motion control performance can be achieved using a proportional valve as a control component.
