Sažetak
This paper presents a numerical model for the GSM base station electromagnetic transient analysis. The model is based on the use of the well-known ATP-EMTP computer program. A complete GSM base station tower model combined with a detailed model of the base station earthing grid is proposed. A distributed parameters line model is employed, with Heidler's type surge current source representing direct lightning strike to the GSM base station tower. A new analytical expressions for distributed parameters of the Clark's model are derived using the average potential method.
