Sažetak
Flattening process belongs to the oldest processes in metal-working technology, particularly in the field of rolling problems [1]. According to the used thin plate workpieces, in this paper the flattening process is considered as a plane-strain problem [2]. Numerical analysis of mentioned process was made using finite element technique, whose engineering application in this rolling problem is provided thanks to high computer performances. Namely, particularly in the last decade the finite element method (FEM) has spread to a variety of engineering and science disciplines. In numerical analysis large strain elastoplastic Lagrangian Hencky formulation was used. Also mixed formulation of finite element method was used. Contact surface friction is simulated using friction layer technique. An example is presented.
