Sažetak
Duraluminium is wrought thermally hardened aluminium alloy, which when in hardened condition reaches the strength of low carbon steel. Due to proper mechanical properties and low density, it is mostly used in aircraft industry. According to literary knowledge it has low weldability properties. The cause for this would be annulment of heat treatment effect within the heat effected zone of the welded joint and liability to appearance of porosity in the weld itself. The present article deals with the results of the mechanical and metallographical testings of welded bars with diameter of 22 mm. The weldablity has been performed by TIG method applying different types of the filler material.
