Sažetak
The follow-up evaluation research of the School-based Pilot Project on Trauma, Bias, Conlict resolution and Peaceful Living, was done in cooperation with UNICEF, CARE, and McMaster University, Canada. It was carried out as a continuation of the procedures done by SPA within the evaluation of immediate impact of the program. The program seems to have longer term effects on alleviation of post-traumatic stress symptomaology, strenghtening students' self-esteem, including positive influence on attitudes toward conflict resolution and ethnic bias awareness issues. Taking into account limitations noted within the evaluation reports, School-Based Health and Peace Initiative seems to have a potential for evoking more persistent, positive changes in children' self-esteem, level of post-traumatic symptoms, attitudes toward non-violent conflict resolution practices and ethnic bias avareness. Qualitative assessments provided by the participants of the program implemented in the areas of Osijek, Pakrac, and Eastern Slavonia, showed that the progra was highly appreciated, interesting and useful.
