Sažetak
The paper presents reliability assessment of Croatian electric power system using Monte Carlo and state enumeration approach, before and after the reconnection of UCTE 1 and UCTE 2 synchronous zones. Reconnection was enabled by rebuilding two high voltage transformer stations TS 400/220/110 kV Žerjavinec in north-western region and TS 400/110 kV Ernestinovo in eastern region of Croatia Power system reliability can be evaluated using analytical and simulation methods. Analytical techniques use mathematical models for system representation and evaluate reliability indices using mathematical equations. Monte Carlo simulation method estimates the reliability indices by simulating the actual process and random behaviour of the system. In this paper stochastic model of all power system components are used with Weibull distribution. Weibull distributions for all components are derived from historical database analysis taken from “ Statistical database of operational events“ made by HEP Transmission System Operator (TSO). Markov three state models for generators are used with full operational state, de-rated state and outage state. Historical data where analysed from HEP Production. A set of system and load point related reliability indices were calculated using sequential Monte Carlo simulation and system state enumeration. The analysis was performed on overall Croatian national transmission network which including all 400 kV, 220 kV, 110 kV transmission lines, transformers, busbars, breakers, generators, etc. before and after rebuilding and entering into the operation TS 400/110 kV Ernestinovo and TS 400/220/110 kV Žerjavinec. TS Ernestinovo was the last and a key point in the process of reconnection of UCTE 1 and UCTE 2 synchronous zones. Area load model was used and yearly load duration curves for all 110 kV, 35 kV, 20 kV and 10 kV buses in each regional TSO, namely: TSO Zagreb, TSO Osijek, TSO Split and TSO Rijeka.
