Sažetak
The implementation and development of information technologies, computers, the Internet and new information and communication appliances result in major changes in business operations of every logistic subject and in every logistic system. Information technologies have resulted in the information society, a society in which main life and work factors are information and information technologies. Digital network development as well as mobile communication facilities, available Internet access, e-mail and e-trade have increased the performance and quality of information systems and brought on a new business concept called electronic business or e-business. All logistic subjects have been adapting to the new situation by implementing new technologies into their business, in order to conduct their operations more rationally and to survive on the market. The authors have analyzed the application and possibilities of the implementation of information technologies in modern logistic systems.
