Sažetak
The funicular is a very popular tourist attraction and symbol of the Zagreb city. During the years of 1969. to 1974. it was reconstructed and it's characteristics were improved using the those days present technical solutions. The main improvement was the new motor drive system which ensured better drive mode of the funicular. But, during the funicular's exploatation mentioned improvements show many of the drawbacks, as the very embarrasing drive mode for the passangers. The paper deals with the short description of the funicular system and characteristics. The main drawbacks of the funicular are pointed out in the paper with the measured diagrams. The technical requirements for the reconstruction of the funicular drive system are given
