Sažetak
Airbag production requires special raw materials, weaving and fabric finishing. Raw material composition of yarn and its properties depend on the production and properties of fabric. The preparation of warp, weaving and chemical treatment of filament threads requires special manufacturing machines. Control for each manufacturing phase is necessary during the manufacturing process. Airbag fabrics have a relatively high density and strength, compactness and air impermeabilty. To obtain the above mentioned parameters, the fabric was woven only in plain weave and in the chemical treatment coated with chemical coating. This paper analyzes yarn properties and airbag fabrics. Since airbags are made up and mostly sewn, this represents a crucial stage in manufacturing airbags. Airbag sewing is carried out on special machines with a special serv 7 sewing needle without damaging threads or filaments.
