Sažetak
The results of the mathematical analysis of the heat transfer physical phenomena in the dry rotary heat exchanger has been reported. The analysis covers the three-dimensional model, and it takes into the consideration heat conduction in radial, tangential and axial direction. Governing differential equations of the three-dimensional model are solved using finite difference technique. For solution an iterative procedure is applied. Calculated temperatures are in good accordance with results obtained in relevant works for two-dimensional mmodel. The results of the temperature distribution are shown graphically. At the end of the paper the mentioned numerical techinque has been applied on the case of the boiler rotary air-preheater of the electric power plant Urinj - Rijeka.
