Sažetak
The canonical relations between 14 anthropometric and 3 motor variables (sprint, ball throwing and long-distance running) have been analysed in 417 boys and 402 girls, aged 7.5 years. Three respective significant correlations between these two groups of variables have been found in both boys and girls. In boys, the first canonical dimension is defined as the general athletic capacity, affected negatively by endomorphy and positively by a moderate mesoectomorphy. The latter supposes a negative influence of the expressive mesomorphy upon long-distance running and a positive one upon, and the third one supposes a positive influence of the morphological structure, where the transversal dimensions of the skeleton and the total body mass are expressive in ball throwing and the negative result in the sprint. In girls, the first canonical dimension is defined as the general athletic capacity determined negatively by an expressive endomorphy and positively by a moderate ectomorphy, the second one being defined as the capacity for long distance running conditioned negatively by the expressive mesoendomorphy, and the third one supposes the positive influence of the transversal dimensions of the skeleton and, to some degree, of the subcutaneous fat tissue upon throwing and a negative one upon sprints.
