Sažetak
We have investigated the antiproliferative and cytotoxic effects of planar 4,9-dimethyl-4,9 diazapyrenium and 2,4,7,9-tetramethyl-4,9 diazapyrenium hydrogensulphates against human malignat MiaPaCa2 (pancreatic carcinoma), Hep2 (laryngeal carcinoma9 and human normal fibroblasts (WI 38) cell lines. The tested compounds were found to be very potent to inhibiting the growth of the treated cell lines. Treatment with molar concentration of substances (10-4 - 10-7 M) was capable of causong 50% and more growth inhibition. The morphological changes on treated cells were observed. The identification and the appearance of chromatin aggregation leads us to assume the apoptosis or programed cell death of investigated tumor cell lines induced by the applying planar cyclic compounds.
