Sažetak
An information-oriented approach to controlling emphasises the information goal of controlling. In this respect, controlling develops and implements a management information system (MIS) and strives to integrate it into the company's overall information system. Viewed from this angle, the task of controlling is co-ordination in compiling and using data, i.e. the harmonisation of demand for data and its production and supply. Data warehousing significantly increases the value of information and changes the traditional approach to information. The paper proposes a conceptual model for integrating data warehousing into controlling, and makes a case for its application.
