The paper discuss Roman Illyrian policy between 167 and 60 BC. It points out that Romans essentially saw Illyricum as part of North Italy and Macedonia/Epirus, and accordingly applied their, essentially contrasting, policies for these areas onto the neighboring parts of what would in the future be Illyricum.
