Sažetak
Closed craniocerebral injuries almost regularly cause damage to the central nervous system that usually cannot be visualized by common neurophysiological nad neuroradiological methods. The diagnostics of commotion syndrome and its subacute effects concerning visual function damage thus becomes unreliable.
The perimetric research of kinetic light perimetry in photopia using the Goldmann method carried out on a large number of examinees undoubtedly reveals a high percentage of typical visual function failure within the so-called postcommotion syndrome as a result of diffuse shock of the brain mass. As scientific contribution with expressed elements of kinetic application it should be noted that significant characteristics of the visual field failure, regularly symmetrical, will not be manifested before a month from injury to the head. Even in the absence of extensive damage to visual acuity, typical failures such as narrowing of all isopters accompanied with depression from above, will be observed.
Conclusion. All patients with head trauma, although they do not complain of significant visual acuity failure, should have the visus and fundus examined, and a month after injury, they should be submitted to obligatory testing of the visual field according to Goldmann for the evaluation of diagnostics to date.
