Sažetak
Maintenance of the Yugoslav roads network lacks systematic approach, maintenance technology and funding. These were sufficient reasons to approach the development and application of a contemporary system of road maintenance management in the Socialist Republic of Croatia, with the intention of later applying the results to other Yugoslav republics and provinces. The develoment of this pilot system has been realized with the financial and technical aid of the World bank from Washington. The basic objective is to establish a simple system of road maintenance management which will function within the limits of available funds and characteristics of the road network and its traffic.
