Sažetak
Yugoslavia is dependent upon the import of energy and, consequently, in the future, it will have to pay a great deal of attention to the maximum exploitation of energy and to the application of renewable energy sources. Since the heating and cooling demands represent a considerable part of total energy consumption, the selection of the best system should include the objective analysis of all possible alternatives in order to choose the optimal one applying an (integral) approach. The selection of the optimal heating and cooling system should imply the following groups of criteria: economic, technological, spatial, environmental.Special attention has been paid to the environmental study while solving the energy problems of the "Cikat" tourist complex. The multicriterional analysis was used to consider several alternative sources of thermal energy anc consequently the advantage of a combined production of thermal and electric energy has been established by using a total energy system (diesel engines and heat pumps). Thus, it is possible, by satisfying the energy demands to significantly decrease the daily peak consumption from the electric distribution network.
