Sažetak
This paper gives definitions and describes wind impact on structures namely bridges and viaducts, as well as it defines traffic conditions along motorways and roads near Adriatic coast. Relief is one of the main parameters that defines wind regime. In real time, wind has typically dynamic character. In structural engineering static and dynamic influences are analysed separately, although in some cases dynamic effects could be covered with static loadings. Wind protection project on one motorway section in Croatia will be described as well as innovative wind protection structures will be presented.
