Sažetak
Besides present seawater, groundwater salinization can derive from other natural salt sources or from human activities. As from the experience of the Authors in the Mediterranian area, in many karst coastal aquifers, other sources contribute to salinisation, the most common of which are: old salt water of marine origin, formation waters, natural salts (evaporate deposits, cycling wetting and drying, highly mineralised waters coming from geothermal fields and agricultural practices (use of fertilizers and irrigation with treated wastewater.
