Sažetak
Several years since the beginning of the violent dissolution of the former Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY) have provided sufficient time for an assessment of the national legal systems of the successor states. One of the most important and sensitive legal issues of the emerging legal systems has been the regulation of the legal status of the citizens in the state and the regulation of the rights which follow from this status. In the domain of the statutory rights of its citizens, the dissolution of the former SFRY, accompanied by one of the most cruel wars in modern European history, has caused a few social phenomena, which the author, as the guest-editor, describes in this paper.
