Sažetak
The nineteen sixties were marked by the birth of abstract art and information revolution, but also by the establishment of a new scientific discipline called scientific esthetics. By its numerical method of classification, the scientific or information-based esthetics is in sharp contrast to traditional interpretative types of esthetics. The accent is on making a statement rather than providing explanations. The structure is considered numerically, rather than irrationally. Encouraged by theses of scientific esthetics, we have created an integrated expert system for assessing basic esthetic parameters of bridges.
