Sažetak
A few major bridges, including the world famous Krk I concrete arch bridge, with the record span of 390 m, have been built in Croatia in the last few decades. Some large bridges on new highways and fixed links to the islands that are currently under construction or in the design stage are highlighted. The review starts with experience gained from maintenance of existing bridges because it strongly influences new designs.
