Sažetak
Cell membranes are built of lipid bilayer. There ae tree main groups of membrane lipids: phospholipids, glycolipids and cholesterol. Cerebrosdies containing glucose or galactose, beside sphingosine and fatty acids, make part of glycolipids. Fatty acids (FAs), constituents of phospholipids and glycolipids, play an important role in determining the physiochemical properties of membranes. The aim of this work was lo characterize FAs in the cerebrosides of Claviceps paspali. C.paspali was grown on 6% manithol as carbon source. Total lipids were extracted from the biomass with chloroform methanol and then separated into polar and non polar fraction. Cerebrosides were quantitatively isolated from the polar lipids by colum and preparative thinlayer chromatograpy. Methil esters of FAs . obtained after accid methanolysis. were analyzed by gas-chromatography and mass - spectrometry. The analysis shows that the most abundant FAs are those with 16 and 18 C-atoms.
