Sažetak
Infection with some human Papillomaviruses is also strongly associated with the development of dysplasia and cancer of cervix uteri. Hitherto about 70 Papilomaviru-ses types have been found in the genital tract. For both cervical cancer and lower grades of dysplasia a high number of lifetime sexual partners early sexual debut and history of veneral diseases have been well-known risk factor. 506 nomen were referred to a colposcopy clinic due to previous finding of cito-logical changes in cervical smears varying from slight atydia to suspicion of invasive cancer either of the squamous or the cylindrical epithelium. Nine cervical samples positive in a screening assay for human Papillomaviruses DNA were used for type determination. By automated DNA sequence analysis of cloned PCR products 7 of the isolates could be typed. In order to type these human Papillomaviruse isolates the PCR products transformed of Escherichia coli by heat shock method, detected of plasmids of correct size plasmid purificated by sequenced analysis of teh cloned PCR products. The obtaind of the cloned sequences were then compared to know human Papillomaviruses sequences in a data base. The found types were human Papillomaviruses: 33, 52, 54, 59, 67 and two 61. We belive that sequence analysis of cloned PCR products is a reliable method to identify rare human Papillomaviruses types.
