Sažetak
An adaptive controller is proposed for the load-frequency control of an interconnected thermal
power system. The proposed self-tuning controller is compared with a conventional fixed PI
controller. A control area is represented by a stochastic ARX model with parameters
estimated using the least square method. Simulation studies show that the proposed
controller is more effective and that it improves the stability and transient response of
the system.
