Sažetak
Croatian experience in the use of fibre reinforced concrete and fibre reinforced sprayed concrete (shotcrete) is described in the paper. The concrete and shotcrete reinforced with steel and/or polypropylene fibres have been used in the execution of tunnel lining (primary and secondary lining), in the production of precast concrete elements for tunnel drainage, and in the execution of concrete crash barriers (New Jersey type) for motorways.The main emphasis is placed on the laboratory testing of ductility through residual strength testing after beam bending or through energy absorption testing on slabs. A fire resistance testing of polypropylene-fibre reinforced concrete on the slabs at the temperature of 1350°C during 2 hours in a specially designed furnace is also described in the paper.
