Sažetak
White cement is a pure white Portland cement that's manufactured from chemically and mineralogical high-quality raw materials using special technology. As a standardized binder, it meets all the requirements placed on ordinary Portland cement of the corresponding quality class. However, usage of white Portland cement lets us realize ideas and solutions in unique shapes, structures and colours that would be impossible with conventional cement and concrete and with the uses that go far beyond aesthetic considerations as well. The almost unlimited design options offered by white Portland cement are timeless, while its material characteristics conform to the growing demand for environmental sustainability. White Portland cement is a binding material, which is used in many applications. Here, some facts are described as well as possibilities of this material. Especially, the usage in high strength and durable fasade elements made of white fiberglass-reinforced concrete has been highlighted in this article.
