Sažetak
The author analyses the internal legislation of the Republic of Croatia in citizenship-related issues concerning the legal requirements for acquiring Croatian citizenship by naturalization comparing it with the naturalization laws of some Central European countries (Slovenia, Hungary, Czech Republic) and some other European as well as some Anglo-Saxon countries. Since the 1991 Law on Croatian Citizenship distinguishes between regular and facilitated naturalization, the author analyses the legal requirements for both kinds of naturalization. She also cites some relevant cases from the judicial practice of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia related to the particular requirements for acquiring Croatian citizenship by naturalization.
