Sažetak
One of the main railway intersections in southeast Europe lies in eastern Croatian town Vinkovci. Concrete structure of railway station occupied area of 7200 m2. It was made in early 1960’ s. Structure is space frame and consists of several uniform distributed fields. Some significant deterioration of materials and concrete elements were noticed (cracking, leakage, deflection, spalling and delamination). Concrete structure was also damaged during Croatia war of independence. A wide scale of, destructive and non-destructive, field and laboratory testing were performed, including measuring dynamic parameters (accelerations, vibrations, dumping etc.), during trains driving. Precise analytical model of concrete structure is made to calibrate and verified results of experimental study. Those data were used to assess structural performance in order to determine safety of the structure. After assessment was made, continuous observation and measurement of deflections were conducted. Monitoring was conducting until concrete structure didn’ t provide appropriate safety degree for users.
