Sažetak
The effect of heat treatment on the microstructure of low-alloyed cast steel were first observed by optical microscopy and mechanical testing. The results, however, could not account for all the changes in microstructure. The method of X-ray diffraction was therefore used to examine samples of low-alloyed steel casting. Before examination the samples were submitted to heat treatment (at 500-700°C/two hours/air). After preparation (by standard metalographic technique) they were measured using the counter diffractometric technique nad photographic technique (the back reflection method) with CoK radiation. The results of phase analysis, residual austenite and tetragonality of martensite served to determine the optimal temperature for heat treatment of low-alloyed steel castings.
