Sažetak
The great use of herbicides created many problems, therefore a rationalisation and subsistution of that use is needed. The use of herbicides can be incorporated in a system of integrated weed control by a better knowledge of damaging tresholds of the most important weeds in the critical development stages of cultural plants, by a combined herbicide band application and mechanical weed destruction, and some other possibilities. Curative herbicide treatments should substitute, where possible, the preventive treatments. Very good results were achived in some noneuropean countries by using the biological method of weed control. With the classical method 32% of trials were successfull. therefore more attention should be given to incoporate this method in a system of integrated weed control also in Europe.
