Sažetak
The broad and diverse powers of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia result in a variety of ways in which it resolves issues of law and fact that appear in cases that it decides. The special characteristics of the various kinds of constitutional proceedings lead to different approaches to these issues. Whereas legal analysis predominates in cases of the abstract control of constitutionality and legality, in cases resolving electoral disputes the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia quite often establishes legally relevant facts itself. However, even when it does so it often makes use of records, statements and other (relatively formal) materials that came into being in the proceedings of administrative bodies and courts that took place prior to the proceedings before the Constitutional Court.
