Sažetak
The optimal choice of the WTGS for the location characterized by its energy potential and its behaviour, or the selection of the best location of new WTGS plant is very important. A mostly driven engine in WTGS is a horizontal axis propeller type wind turbine and its optimization is very complex. The expert system was developed on purpose of the optimization of the WTGS according to the user's requirements and to the characteristics of the specific location. The brief description and the basic principles of expert system are given in this article. Three main parts of the expert system are also described. These are data input system, two databases, one for the location and one for the commercial WTGS, and knowledge base with modern methods implemented in the inference engine (as they are fuzzy logic, associative memories, parallel processing, ...). A comparison between selected WTGS as result of the expert system and the optimal one designed through our simulation software is also available.
