Sažetak
The active factor hepatopoietin, heat and acid stable, organ specific and species unspecific was isolated from the rest of livers 50 h after hepatectomy in rats and from plasma of patients with chronic liver disease and hepatocarcinoma. The both extracts increase the DNA synthesis in primary hepatocyte culture, suggesting that hepatopoietin could be involved in the oncogenecity of hepatocyte proliferation.
