Sažetak
Tape offers the lowest cost per unit of any storage format today. Its cost effectiveness is one of the reasons why tape is still in widespread use. D-5, Digital Betacam, and the new acquisition tape formats DVCPRO, Digital-S, Betacam SX, DV and DVCAM are all digital and use some form of compression. The acquisition formats offer complete new technical solution from camera shooting, editing and transmitting of TV program, so they are much more than just new VTR formats. With all the variables, choosing a single acquisition format can be difficult. The work that we do and the equipment we have now will determine the format we will choose.
