Sažetak
The aim of the study was to examine differences in child-rearing practice within the family regarding sex of delinquent youth. Juveniles treated in a daily program of a Youth Correctional Centre participated in study. There were 108 males and 82 females. Subjects assessed parental style, separately for mother and father, on a modified ROHNER Parental Acceptance-Rejection Questionnaire. Their delinquent behavior was assessed using official data and self-report questionnaire. Girls perceived their mothers as significantly warmer than boys did, while mother’ s behavior had stronger impact upon their delinquency. However, parental style variables did not play an impressive role in girls’ and boys’ delinquency altogether. For both samples correlation among self-reported delinquency and aspects of parental care is small: for boys from 0.07 to 0.25 and for girls from0.11 to 0.25.
