Sažetak
In the seventh chapter entitled New (and old) roles of women and men in contemporary Europe, the starting point of the authors are two theoretical traditions that interpret the roles of the sexes in history, namely the cultural and economic. The differences in the position of women in individual European countries are clearly visible. In regards of the position of women in society, Croatia belongs to more traditional European societies. The authors are in favour of a greater presence of women on the labour market. At the same time, they warn about the influence of the employed woman on the family structure and family relations.
