Sažetak
Results of heavy metals analyses (Pb, Cu, Zn, Cd, Mn) of sediment of Lukina jama on the mountain Velebit in Croatia have been reported. Sampling, chemical analyses and mechanical content have been carried out in pedological-physiological laboratory of Forest Research Institute, to check whether the chemical compounds in silt of subterranean system are polluted with heavy metals. The researches include and standard pedological analyses: pH, content of humus %, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and Mechanical soil composition. Samples were compiled in four different parts of pit, from bottom ( -1392m) to Camp II (-928 m). Average depth of sampling was 10 cm. Round 1 kg of silt was put into plastic bag, marked and firmly closed and carry out till treatment. All samples were compiled during 1994. Heavy metals were determined by atomic-absorption spectrophotometer "Perkin Elmer 300 S". Lukina jama pit anthill today are clean subterranean system.
