Entry provides an overview of some of the aspects of the witchcraft beliefs in the western and central Balkans (lands under the Ottoman rule: parts of Dalmatia, Bosnia, Serbia and Montengero) during the early modern period. The emphasis is on the lack of the official witchcraft persecutions and the forms of the popular perception of witchcraft.
