Sažetak
A 20-year-old male was exposed to anhydrous ammonia after an explosion in a meat factory. He suffered from severe chemical burns of second and third degree, including 60% burns of total body surface with an important envolvement of the lung. The treatment of this kind of injuries should be started at the site of the accident and continued at the Burn Center including a multidisciplinary approach. Physiotherapy is very important to achieve a satisfactory result. Pulmonary manifestations can develop immediately or later and they can be of mild or severe intensity.
