Sažetak
A 31-year-old woman during the eight month of second pregnancy was admitted to hospital because of fever, weakness, chest pain, painful skin over her leg, and dyspnea.Transesophageal echocardiography revealed a large, mobile vegetation, measuring 18x6 mm attached to the right coronary cusp with severe aorticregurgitation.Emergency cesarean section was performed, the newly born baby was 2530/47, Apgar 10/10.Consequently, cardiopulmonary bypass with subsequent aortic valve replacement with a bioprothesis was initiated immediately after cesarean section.Our observation shows that TEE is important to detect the presence, size, and consequence of valvular vegetation.
